| The good and bad direct efctfes were summed up pretty well for you there. More rough seas, you might not have to deal with it though, you're on a boat/ship/floating thing, which might be where people want to be soon enough However, there are some other pressing problems especially because you're in the navy.More wars: As resources run low (water is a resource), we will see more people driven to conflict over them. Climate change will cause more issues with dwindling resources. In Australia, mining for fuel is already running into conflict with agriculture, especially with concerns over the efctfes on ground water. Countries that are already more arid will be affected more keenly, and you may be sent out to quell major disputes over resources as people go further afield.Refugees: The navy is increasingly being called upon to hold the lines and rescue boat people'. This is becoming a big problem for Europe and Australiasia countries that have extensive coast lines. You will probably see more of this time of conflict and the navy will be in media attention for all of its actions. Rescues will be scrutinised to ensure the navy was acting in a humanitarian manner.Food/water ration shortages: This would not be a huge issue for the army generally since nations make sure to keep soldiers well-stocked, in general before its citizens during times of duress.Heat and changed weather conditions: This is actually a big problem for most strategies. As weather patterns become less predictable, you may be sent into areas where local knowledge is scarce and conditions may be unexpected. On a naval vessel, this could mean havoc for a planned mission. In general, you will be less affected than people living off the land', as your resources come from the government/institutions. Those who are directly affected by the changing climate are farmers, impoverished peoples (who grow their own food or can no longer afford higher costs of living). You may expect your salary to go towards food more than before, and see more news on television about millions of people starving in the horn of Africa, but other than that, you are likely to see little impact to your personal daily routine within your lifetime. | |
